New tourism sites

Visitkarmoy.no and Historiskeavaldsnes.no in a new guise.

Karmøy Municipality launches new tourism pages.  Experience Karmøy is a public website for experiences in Karmøy Municipality. The site aims to inspire, build brand, and inform both guests and residents, with updated year-round information.

On the landing page, the municipality's three top attractions are highlighted: The idyllic wooden houses of Skudeneshavn, Avaldsnes and Viking history, and the sea with its beaches. Here, visitors can read current news and hopefully be inspired to discover both well-known and more hidden treasures. An Instagram feed scrolls with beautiful pictures shared by great ambassadors.

The tourism advisor wanted the website to have a more magazine-like feel, and offer the ability to highlight "fun facts" and the unique aspects of Karmøy. Camilla Vandvik is excited about the reception, and hopes that the website is intuitive to navigate and contains useful information, while also stirring up the desire to explore and enthusiasm for all that Karmøy has to offer. For there is certainly no shortage. We have so many attractions and great hospitality, all of which contribute to valuable experiences. It's a luxury problem that it becomes difficult to highlight something over everything else, she adds.

With a focus on information and inspiration, we are now pleased to launch new websites for Historic Avaldsnes, which includes the Nordvegen History Centre, Viking Farm, the royal estate ruins, and Olav's Church. Frequently asked questions about opening hours and other practical information are highlighted and made visible on both the landing page and in the menu, department leader Monica Hausken can report. Historic Avaldsnes is part of Experience Karmøy with a similar design.

New visitkarmoy.no and historiskeavaldsnes.no can be found here.

Brochure with a new visual expression

Appex has assisted the tourism advisor in updating the Karmøy brochure with the municipality's new visual profile. And with Experience Karmøy's light pastel feel, it appears both fresh and inspiring, with many great motifs from local photography enthusiasts. A big thank you to all contributors!
