Geitungen Light

The lighthouse offers a communion with nature in the middle of the outer harbour at Skudeneshavn, where the North Sea rolls in unfettered. Next stop to the west: Scotland. A spectacular holiday experience whatever the weather.

The Geitungen lighthouse was one of the last to be built in Norway. First lit in 1924, it secures the approach to Boknafjord and features a modern fog horn. The characteristically shaped light towers majestically above the supporting rock like a small castle.

Haugesund Tourist Association (DNT) offers lighthouse accommodation providing 35 beds.
