Karmøy has many open areas where a bicycle seat is the perfect place to be. By going by bike it is possible to get up close and personal with the beauty and variety of nature. The ragged coast, heather moors, restless sea and soaring birds all contribute to an unforgettable encounter.

  • Round Skudenes

    A wonderful bike tour around South Karmøy by country road and coastal path. Ever-changing nature with uplands along Burmaveien Road, a lush coastal landscape on the eastern side of the island, and golden strands and green pastures on the west side combine to give you a unique and memorable trip. The bustling and charming tall ships’ town of Skudeneshavn is a natural starting point for your trip. From Skudeneshavn towards Syre and Sandve and further to Ferkingstad. From there, go east via Burmaveien Road to Blikshavn. Continue south to Skudeneshavn. All roads with the exception of Burmaveien are asphalted.

  • North Sea Cycle Route

    Karmøyrunden is part of The North Sea Cycle Route, a 6.200 km chain of exciting experiences waiting for the cycling tourist. The North Sea Cycle Route is established in all the countries bordering the North Sea: Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, England and Scotland. Karmøyrunden is an easy difficulty circular route, a 97 kilometre-long story about life on nature’s terms. To get to Stavanger take the bus from Håvik Bus-station. There is boat connection between Nedstrand (Tysvær) – Stavanger if you follow Nordsjøruta from Haugesund.
